“Gamatan” – The Philippines communal meal.

Gamatan is actually Kapampangan, a Filipino dialect from the central part of Luzon (North Philippines).  We found a Kapampangan restaurant “Koya’s Place” through a friend in Facebook .  We celebrated our good friends Illiad & Nova with a Gamatan spread ( description taken directly from Koya’s place menu :   Experience the ultimate Filipino meal. Dine like the early Filipinos did. The meal will be served over Banana Leaves and NO UTENSILS. That’s right get down on it with your hands only! Steamed rice, roasted vegetables, Chicken Adobo, Cebu Style Lechon, Gulf Shrimp, Aristocrat Style Fried Chicken, Longaniza, whole fish and much more.)
